1. The first Dengue vaccine, tested here in the Philippines and recently been approved by the Philippine Food and Drug Authority (FDA), gives a promising benefit to a long term immunity against four dengue serotypes. This vaccine will be added to the list of free vaccines for public school children under the National Immunization Program.
2. The first Dengue vaccine will be launched through a School-Based Immunization Program (SBIP) to be given to nine years old and above, grade 4 students enrolled in school year 2015-2016 in all public elementary schools in NCR, Region III, and Region IV-A. This strategy is currently being organized by the DOH in collaboration with the DepED and DILG, to be held simultaneously on April 2016.
3. Orientation will be done first by DepED and DoH before the vaccination will take place with our stakeholders, Elementary school Health coordinators at NEUST, Sumacab, Cabanatuan City on the following dates:

4. Health personnel of Department of Education (DepED) will only supervise, coordinate with our counterpart making sure that our Grade 4 pupils are ready for mass vaccination and materials will be provided by the Department of Health (DOH) as agreed upon.
